DB9 Volante Clamshell stuck on passenger side

My DB9 has been hibernating for the winter. I started it yesterday and found that the roof did not open properly. The clamshell is not opening on one side, then a warning message appears on the dash 'roof operation paused'.

The car had a lowish battery level, so i have had the car connected to a charger all night.

Has anyone had something similar happen?

I had the same problem last year. The roof was down and the clam shell wouldn't unlock on the passenger side. Aston Roadside Assistance sent an engineer out to try and release it but it was soon apparent that it was firmly locked and not going to budge. The car was recovered to AM Cheltenham who replaced one of the actuators. Because it had failed in the locked position it was apparently a bit of a sod to fix but was covered (fortunately) by Timeless.

I had the opposite happen. It wouldn't lock. Apparently the previous owner like storing the car with the top down which trapped moisture and one of the cables had rusted up and finally just stopped working.
