Sounds like exhaust hitting the chassis to me

Exhausts have a habit of moving a fair bit ! Get it jacked up (once it's cool) and give the exhaust a good shake - should be able to find where it's knocking fairly easily & remedy.....

The shields which run down the length of the car down the middle run very close to the exhaust and sometimes need spacing out to give you the clearance for a quiet running car.

I had that noise, convinced it was the exhaust knocking. Turned out to be seized bushes on the rear anti roll bar, removed cleaned and lubricated and the noise went.
Cheers

LOL. I have my third back box on in 3 months.
The 2nd brand new one in 6 weeks.
It was only put on last week, and yet a...<expletive deleted>...gain the heat shield on the back box is making that rattly tin can sound.
Andy if you are reading this, expect a call soon, lol.

I think Im just going to have that heat shield removed, been told it doesnt do anything really anyway, other than make the most horrendous noise on bumpy roads or even when you close the car door as my 2nd back box did.

Its not serious tho, just very annoying.
