My bonnet stay (slightly bent) is weird.
Most days, I unclip it from the bonnet and the socket-end clicks on to the male/ball for a secure hold.
Some days, it just won't click-on, no matter how much I try to squeeze the two parts together.
Without clicking fully-home, it does hold, but of course, I fear the dam thing might fall on my head.
So (in true TVR fashion) I use a cable-tie to stop it from slipping off.
I have tried greasing it, but no luck.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I wonder how the solution has held-up over time - I would be very fearful of stress cracks on the bonnet, but I'm sure I'm not clever enough to be thinking about it the right way.
