Hello guys,

Does anybody have any experience with Bahco ratcheting spanners? Are they any good?

There are the spanners: https://www.primetools.co.uk/product/bahco-1rm-sh1...

Thanks.

Never tried them.

But I've got a couple of sets of cheapies with the jointed necks at the ratchet end & which you turn over to drive the other way & they're very useful in tight spaces.

I like the look of them. Bacho adjustable spanners are the best on the market. I've had loads. They never break. But they do tend to wander off on their own accord for some reason. I wonder why that is?

The old ones made in Sweden are better than the new stuff made in Portugal. I’d go second hand vintage every time.

If they're as good as the other modern Bahco stuff they'll be a good buy.

Currently got 3x socket sets of theirs and really impressed with the quality.

If you're serious you'll soon realise you need a different spanner for every job and quite often two spanners to undo one nut or bolt.
They look good, as does the price. As long as you don't expect them to do everything they'll last a lifetime.

I'm starting to fall into "buy two of every spanner" - there's nothing more annoying when you don't have one too.

When working on cars you need at least 5 10mm sockets hehe

I've the Bahco ratchet spanners that have 4 sizes on each spanner. So 3 spanners covers something like 10mm to 22mm IIRC. Decent spanners although the heads will be deeper due to supporting 2 sizes. Cost around £30 10 years ago?
