Thought I'd chance my arm in starting a new thread.

Unlike the Noel Clarke week-long drama (and the real-life parallel drama that came along with it for free), this 'series' of Innocent, seems to have a better pace than Viewpoint.

Anyway, the acting seems good, the plot believable, so far anyway.

The Chair of school governors is a bit psycho. Hidden nutter - or so it is made to seem. Perhaps all school governors are like this..?

Does this follow on from the last one, or is it a completely new story?

I watched the first series but can't really remember how it turned out.

What's annoying me is that I'm sure the main character in this series (played by Katherine Kelly) was in the first series at the end? confused

Still, this series is good. Can't help but think that the Husband of the innocent woman has something to do with it.

Same writer as 'Unforgotten' IINM, which is a good thing - the plot twists and feel of it are similar.

I haven't seen the first series, but this appears to be a wholly self-contained plotline, so I would presume you needn't have watched any previous programmes to be up to date.

Have to say it appears to be building up nicely.

No idea who is guilty though. The revealed 'ex-girlfriend' is a (in a good way) weird one.

I missed the first series of this so I'm watching it now and enjoying it. IMDB would suggest Katherine Kelly was in the first series too, but I don't recall seeing her at all (watched the first 3 episodes last night), I think I need to pay more attention.

The guy who did time was innocent. His weird brother murdered the wife out of jealousy.

New series is completely separate.

I'm 2 episodes in and quite enjoying this.
There's a number of possibles as to who did kill him.

Compared to that Pact rubbish on the beeb this is much better written

My wife was watching this. I ended up watching most of episodes 2-4.

It looked good. An eerily deserted Keswick, Derwent Water and Honister.

It was ok, but nowhere near as good as some of the Netflix or Scandinavian dramas I've seen in the past few years. We predicted the perpetrator.

It is the first programme I've watched on ITV in a long time, and the first I've watched "live" (well, on ITV +1) -advert breaks, how retro!

I thought it was very good indeed.
Both Shaun Dooley and Katherine Kelly are becoming very fine actors/actress.
Ironically both from Barnsley.
