TBh I am just glad I decided to go with a winged car so at least i can get some track days in this year! my PTS car due End of June delivery
I think a Touring will just be a winged car, without the wing. If that sounds stupid, look at the configurator - it looks like you could just unscrew the wing and hey presto, you have a touring! hunter 66 said:
Yes but it is not about the wing but the Badge it this "investors " market ..... as far as I can see
I’m not sure about that...I think it’s the car a lot of people want because it’s a more useable car on a daily basis. Because they don’t want the attention a wing brings. I specced my 991.2 GT3 as a CS with a Wing in Lava Orange so the antithesis of going”under the radar”...I wanted the full GT3 experience and I love the car for what it is. I would use it more if it didn’t have a cage in the back and wasn’t bright orange as there are times when those things make a difference....but I have other cars so it’s not a problem. Anyone on here got a confirmed build slot as yet?
I’m liking this one.

Yes , again for the really special clients only , which is totally reasonable as they spend their money and are good clients . Again no place for me but happy accept that , as have only bought GT products in the past . Happy to be privileged to be able to drive my RS daily and race Porsche in international race events , so not too bothered . But I like the progress that Porsche always makes , and this is how the 911 concept survives .

Whole lotta want going on for these….
Just for argument’s sake, as a first time Pork buyer, what would be the realistic chance of bagging a build slot? And how could that chance be improved assuming it’s slimmer than a racing snake’s todger…?
With no more build slots for 2021 and I suspect most good customers at OPCs after a Touring (I reckon they will have declined an early 2021 slot for this reason) I'm pretty sure you've got virtually zero chance of getting an allocation for a car specced to your liking.

GT3 allocations are always in high demand and anyone new to the marque is unlikely to just walk into a dealership and get one.
You need a previous relationship or be someone special - TV celebrity, successful influencer etc.

On the Porsche UK website, despite the same power output, the GT3 is quoted as 3.4s (0-62mph) and 198mph, whereas the GT3 Touring is 3.9s (0-62mph) and 199mph. The top speed difference makes sense, the 0-62mph does not!

Both versions are identical. The Manual is 3.9s and 199mph and the pdk is 3.4s and 198mph.

I think that will be because the GT3 standard equipment is PDK whereas the Touring is manual.
