My wife has moved from W 98 desktop to a laptop.
Her email account is working fine on the laptop and I've moved all of her files over from the old machine.
But how do I move the old mail box items over?

I use Apple Mac and I know how to do it in OS X, but its driving me nuts!

Open outlook goto "Tools" -> "Options" then "Maintenance" tab. Click on "Store Folder" and select the entire path with the mouse then right click on it and copy. "Cancel" out of the dialogue boxes and close outlook express.

Click "Start" then "Run". Clear the run box then paste the path in and click "OK". Copy all of these files to the new machine into a temporary folder. Fire up Outlook express and setup to pickup mail as per other pc. Click "File" -> "Import" -> "Messages" -> select "Outlook express 6" on email client page. Select "Import from an OE6 store directory" browse to the temporary folder you used earlier.

You should be able to complete the wizard from there as I don't have any OE mail here I can't tell you what the next page is but from memory its straight forward.

I can't remember if that does the contacts/address book but if it doesn't on the original machine just go to "File" -> "Export" -> "Address book" and use a csv file. You can then import it on the new machine.

Hope that helps
