Discussion
Picked it up Friday morning from Johnson's Mazda in Oxford (Great dealer so far).

Drove it home and took some snaps:

Obviously a Soul Red Crystal Sport Tech. I added the 30mm lowering spring, Mazda Sports exhaust and the boot spoiler to the standard sport tech spec.
After those snaps, it was time to load it up and get my arse down to Goodwood for Retro Rides Weekender.

A great weekend of awesome cars and good friends.
As for the car? I'm properly stoked with it. I'm still being bit restrained with revs and wide open throttle until I've notched up 500 miles, but even so it feels quicker and more capable than my modified 2.0 MK3 I ran before. I actually wanted a white one, but the wait was looooong as there were no unregistered ones in stock and I'm impatient. I'm so glad I'm impatient as the newer Soul Red colour is just incredible, photos just don't do it justice.
More thoughts once I've got some decent miles on it.

It’s my daily replacing my Diesel Mini Clubman and my Skuzzle tuned mk3 MX5. I therefore don’t plan to do anything to it and to be honest it drives so well I’m not sure it actually needs anything tinkering with.
So far the fuel consumption is pretty insane. Averaging mid 40s and I’m not hanging about either.

1,500 miles completed and now giving it the full beans plus taken it to a couple of meets.
Coming from the modded MK3 it feels just as quick, but a fair bit softer. If it was just a fun times car I'd already be shopping for coilovers, but as it's a daily for work the suspension with lowering springs is a great compromise. It handles well, but it's still compliant on motorways and speed bumps.
As with every MX5 I've owned it's taken me a while to find a seating position that I like and is comfortable, the big difference in the ND2 being the telescopic wheel making it the best driving position on any MX5 I've owned.
Dead happy with it and think it's gets better looking the more I look at it, the exhaust is starting to liven up bit as well now.
Anyway, enough waffle here's the pics.
