Right, let's see how this goes...

I've been an enthusiastic critic of Covid groupthink, but equally enthusiastic about jabs, because i'm in my 50s, have a life, and need to crack on before actual bad things happen.

But...working from home has meant 3 hours more time for myself, time with kids, money saved, etc.. which I've ensured I've leveraged to the hilt. So whilst I'm gagging for full unlock, over the last 15 months I've...

Become a pretty good guitarist
Made some home brew
Lost 15 kg (despite consuming the above
Wild camped
Bought a crossbow
And other things.

As we hopefully go back to normal, what's been your 'rona bonus?

(NB: this thread is intended as a light-hearted antidote to the standard PH rage on NP&E, so please, if you need to go 'grrr' please take it there..)

Did a ridiculous amount of overtime (I think it was something like 67 shifts in 12 months) which has pretty much allowed me to save up a large house deposit and I will soon be a homeowner once I get a completion date. Honestly haven't really done much else since the original lockdown, split up with my ex bird and just ploughed through knowing the house at the end of it will be my reward.

Oh I did buy a Fiesta ST2 as well, I guess that was a nice little bonus!

I guess I could say it’s not a low mileage garage queen. It’s been used but looked after and driven. I’ll continue to do the same with it. smile

Built a home bar (not pissed off the neighbours either) brewed lots of home brew for the same, discovered fulgaz for indoor cycling to try and remove extra weight caused by previous.
