So yesterday I collected my new (to me) Porsche Carrera T in almost my ideal spec. I would have preferred yellow. But other then that. This is going to be my road trip car so plenty of luggage space and good to drive

Rear wheel steering
Rear seat delete
Light weight glass
Manual
Carbon buckets
Burmiester
Led lights
And some other tasty bits

I work for a Porsche dealer and drove one of these at the Porsche Experience centre at Silverstone a couple of years ago. amongst the 992's and Boxsters, it was the stand out car for me. It just felt so planted on the circuit and made a great noise. Hope you enjoy it.

Lovely spec - looks a lot better than most T's I've seen. I like the idea of the T but this is the first spec I've seen that I would actually want to own.

Has something a little GT3 Touring about it.

Nice car, I did chuckle at the so called 'weight savings' and then the full blown Burmester system not very T, but will certainly make driving it all the more enjoyable.

I agree with you, however the burmiester is actually lively and as you said will make road trips very pleasant, the car is actually as noisy as my first gt3 due to the reduced sound deadening.

But I’m actually more disappointed with the wheels. The wheels specced on this car are actually the heaviest Porsche make. If I swapped them out with bbs fir wheels (very expensive) I’d save about 19lbs a corner which is huge.

Even the carrera s wheel is about 10lbs a corner lighter

So my first day with the car I managed to get a nail in the rear tire. This was Thursday evening, called the aa on Friday to get recovered to the Porsche garage for a nee tire (no one else had them in stock) I was told they couldn’t due to policy as it’s not showing on the government website as taxed!

Que a day of it sitting on the drive call them
On Saturday morning (tax is now showing) at about 6am asking them to take me to the Porsche centre, “certainly sir a truck will be with you at 8am at the latest, then I receive a phone call at 8:30, sorry sir we won’t be able to get you to the garage before the service department closes at midday.

I was bloody livid, but not much you can do. So the first weekend with my new car was spent in a rental Mercedes

This morning they turned up when they said they would and took it to the local garage who managed to get a tire delivered first thing this morning and I was back on the road by 10am. Unfortunately I couldn’t drive it because I had to go and pick up the mustang.

Agree OP the sound system is actually quite important the marketing based weight savers are best forgotten. I think you've got the perfect opportunity to change the wheels, as you say they are the heavy ones (where it counts) and the colour is lost against the black.
