Just wondering if anyone has any experience of using sites like returnloads, courierexchange etc.
I'm thinking about investing in a box van with a taillift but I'm looking for some advice on where to start with getting contracts.
Tia.
I don't know how much aggravation you have now but I imagine you'll have a lot more. From price competition to not being paid to hanging around. On our estate there was a company who took sub contract work from Panther Logistics for Luton's with a tail lift, mostly Wayfair furniture, 2 person delivery. He was busy but talking to the guys there, it was a nightmare, people lying that they didn't try to deliver, people claiming all sorts of damage to property and this was a real optimized service.I'm thinking about investing in a box van with a taillift but I'm looking for some advice on where to start with getting contracts.

I bid on a massage chair on ebay in Lancashire and the guy who sold it, found someone to get it down 2 flights of stairs, in a van and delivered in a week to london for £85. The chair weighs 120kg.
Agreed, only really works if you can get volume and return loads.
I used Shipply once and ended up a great company, they charge me £50 to ship 73kg boxes and as a two man team.
They seem to sit nicely between the DHL/Hemes/DPD guys who dont want anything over 20kg, and the big freigth / pallet guys.
