MIne gave symptoms but was just the connector pins coroded, beyond cleaning so direct soldering cured it.
How is yours showing the fault ? As to the upgrades, dunno, ACT maybe will advise.

Ah the fault is well hard for me to explain, let my brother have the car for holiday in Scotland and he rings me last night going it will not rev passed 3500rpm in any gear.

This morning with help from the RAC & my good TVR Engineers by phone seem to have sorted the problem and he is driving home with the air flow meter unplugged. Car is working fine, even a report of three figure overtaking mph. Glad he is putting the petrol in as she is running rich.

Will know more on Saturday when I get to drive her again.

Thanks,
Colin L

When my tune resistor broke , it was very similar. My passenger was pressing too hard on the footboard, hanging on for dear life !

So that's why his wife was braced for impact!!!!!!!

Car safely home and I will look at her tomorrow before sending her to be lovingly touched by Gregg at Torque Flyte

It was the Air Flow Meter, a replacement is on the way from Act.

Thanks Tim for you help and very quick service.

Car is now getting another full service after running so rich for 4 days. Glad my brother was footing the bill for Shell over 400 miles.

Thanks for the help folks,
Colin L

Mine went faulty recently and I opened it up (by cutting the silicone seal around the plastic cover, under which there is an aluminium plate held on with 4 torx screws) to find it full of water! After letting it dry out over night on top of a heater all has been OK since!.....
