Sagaris stuff + maybe some woes :(
Discussion
Just been warned by DM that the factory have 17 Sags to finish by end of July and the shut down. So fingers crossed mine gets done, otherwise Ill have to wait till after the shutdown !! !!
Fingers and toes are still cross though, so lets talk positively. Who are we all insured with? My usual mob Admiral dont do the Sagaris...though they will give me a quote for a Typhon strangely enough!
Ive got a holiday out down to Bordeau for Aug Bank Hol, so I want the damn thing delivered and enough time to put 1000 miles on her before then!

Wonder if one of the 17 is mine? Dealer and myself were hoping to have it sorted by end of July. How long is the shutdown btw, 2 weeks?
With the Tuscan in the garage waiting to be sold, I've been driving round in the Freelander for the past 6 months
. I think I'm beginning to suffer withdrawal symptoms

I've heard they can do the basic paint jobs easily enough but the flashy reflex colours take a lot longer.
Of course I'm having you on DJC, good luck in getting the motor in time. Glad to hear there's a waiting list though. The car's well worth the wait and I waited over a year for mine!

I can concur that Aaron at Sunnighill is absolutely top class. If I ever have another TVR I will be insured through them.

I am just struggling with realistic insurance quotes on a Sagaris at the moment. I find it odd that an insurance company would want approaching 50% additional premium beyond a T350 or a Tamora.
Maybe down to the value of the vehicle being over £50k and the 'replace with a new car if you write it off in the first year' clause.
My T350 cost £820ish the first year, valued 40k, this year it is £620, similar to the previous 6 years of Chimaera insurance.
I'm with Mannings at the moment BTW, but have been with Sunninghill in the past.

I am a little older than you
however, Sunninghill want another £240 on top of the T350 premium to renewal (3 months). Manning want over £881 with a mileage restriction and an £800 excess. To be fair to Arron at Sunninghill, he did say they would be more competitive come renewal.
Both insisted on a tracker and advised the hike in premium was down to it being in a differnt insurance group and value over £50K.
