WHAT IF....
A letter from a court service is received saying that their license had been endorsed and sent to DVLA for change of address (address change requested).

License had been handed in at the police station as requested within 7 days with insurance etc.

HOWEVER....
The form accepting the 3 points and 60 quid fine had not been sent.
No money had been sent to pay the fine.
No correspondance has been sent to say the case will go to court.

Just wondering?

You will need to clarify a tweet more .....

Was someone stopped for endorseable offence and given FPN and Driving licence requested, later produced to Plod who would seize re endorsement then sent to DVLA/ Mags Clerks for endorsement.

This would leave the remaining obligation to pay the fine within 28 days as per paperwork given at time of stop......

???????????

And if the fine wasn't paid??

Copy of Plod's roadside ticket is forwarded to Mags Clerks who then have a record. If after 28 days of issue DL or payment not forthcoming then information laid and court process kicks in.

But surely, if the court process kicks in the license could not be endorsed before it goes to court?....and surely they would have to notify the driver that it was going to court?

Sorry if obvious questions are being asked!

Ears.......(royal speak)......I see what you mean.

In any case if Court kicks in Licence is required so that points are awarded. If clerical error then there are ways and means open to them if found NG to have points removed. At the end of the day it is DVLA DL record that will reign supreme.
