I need a way of moving cars easily, been looking at these

Self jacking hydraulic dollies.
They’re pretty expensive, I need to mainly slide my Peugeot 205, pretty light, into the rear of my garage sideways so another car can park in front of it. Just fits.
Can I just have 2 of these, on say the front right and rear left wheels, and just “pick up” the car at an empty wheel arch and slide the car ??
I have no experience using these.

Probably.

You need a really really flat surface, otherwise they are a PITA

As you jack one or two wheels, the others will remain on the ground due to the springs, so you won't be able to move the car. Unless you have a car with VERY LITTLE suspension movement, you'll have to raise the car dangerously high to lift it enough to get the 'jackless wheels' off the ground - I suspect the dollies don't raise very high anyway.

That’s a very good point I hadn’t considered.
Trying to manage cost vs hassle of parking it.
I need 4.

If you have a jack, just get the plain ones without a jacking function, much cheaper and work just as well.

I have gojacks & they're great really handy I got a set with the bigger wheels to make moving them around loaded easier.

If you have a pair of trolley jacks with jacking beams it may be possible?

Ditto. I bought 4 thinking it would be quicker to get a car tight into the side of the garage. On a fairly normal looking concrete garage floor it's well beyond me, it's easier to just manoeuvre it by pushing/steering the car on it's wheels.

They're predominantly meant for car dealerships to shift cars around easily in their showrooms. The showrooms often have tiled floors so unless your garage is the same, moving a vehicle with them could be a challenge
