S1 elise Leaks solution !!

Hi all,

I was having a look on ebay the other day and came accross someone selling a rain proof kit for the series 1 elise. They sell at £35, and mine leaks pretty bad. I dont have a garage and use it to drive to work so as you can imagine, I was quite keen about this. Anyway, I bit the bullet and bought a kit. All fitted now, only took 30 minutes, and came with full instructions. It keeps rain out completely and only let a couple of drops in when I wash the car the other day with the hose and thats if I aim it straight at the window gaps by the windscreen. I wish I had found this kit a year ago. No more moping up the water off the sills and floor. Winter !! bring it on !! anyone who has a series 1 should get one of these.

Hi Gooby,

Glad you contacted me. I am moving house over the weekend so probably wont be able to make it. I was going to try and meet you all at 9:30 and join you for breakfast. Basically just to meet you all and find out when you are next meeting as this weekend will be a bit of a no go. Westover couldnt find a problem with the car! said the only thing it could be is the actual front clam is twisted and thus lower on one side but all the bodywork lines match up so they were scratching their heads. And it cost £70 for nothing! so not a good day. Oh well.
