Didn’t want to hijack anyone else’s thread, looking for a watch for work so don’t want to go mental, the Tudor BB seems a good fit.

When I look at pictures for example the GMT but seen on others too some have black second hands and others have the normal colour matching the hour and minutes.

What is the reason for this?

My BB GMT has white hours & minutes hands, silver seconds and red GMT, so not sure what your concern is?

Silver hands reflect. If the camera lens is square on the hands, they will appear black.

Is that just light then and do I need an award for stupidest question of the day?

I dont thinknits a stupid question, I think its fair when you are looking at spending this kind of money on a watch but yeah looks to me like a reflection as the picture is square on compared to the first pic which is at more of an angle.
