Greek Spitfire flies again...

Hellenic Air Force Spitfire to undertake 10-hour flight back to Greece after full restoration at Biggin Hill...
It flew again last year for the first time since 1953...

And if it's appearance in my Google suggestions feed is correct it was due to return under it's own steam to Greece yesterday...

Additional restoration stuff...

It's return to Greece means we'll not see it displayed here in the UK but it's nice to see another restored spitfire put back in the air, especially as it would have been more complete and original than many of the crashed and extensively dismantled aircraft that are more like recreations than restorations...

That was on Warbird Workshop wasn’t it? Or a similar programme.
I don't actually know - I've seen bits and bobs of that, or a similar show, but haven't been watching it properly. I just got a link on my Google suggestions feed to this story about the HAF Spitfire flying home.Gassing Station | Boats, Planes & Trains | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
