What car for the new London Ulez
Discussion
Good day,
I drive an 06 MX5 Roadster and need a car that will meet the new ulez regs coming in Oct as I live just inside near Hanger Lane, A40.
Owned it 10 yrs and like handling and 160 horses. I keep it at work off road but not secure parking. I only drove 2000 miles last year but that won't increase much. No fixed budget, maybe £10/15k but can go more for a classic. Any suggestions welcome. Thanks in advance.

Sorry, I know this is your first thread, so please don't take this the wrong way.
The thread title is a little misleading. You won't get much buying advice with "new London Ulez" thread title.
Maybe start another thread with a more descriptive title "Buying advice for ulez compliant classic" YOu can add the back story about the MX5 again and what you are looking for. I think you will get a better response.
P.S. Welcome to Pistonheads, it is a fine place to hang out.

I'm surprised a 2006 MX5 isn't ULEZ compliant.
Sticking to the 2 seater convertible theme you could get a really good BMW Z4 well within your budget that will be OK for the ULEZ.
Merc SLK, Honda S2000 or Porsche Boxster would be other options, but I don't know if they are ULEZ compliant.

If you like your Mazda, then good news, as when I checked just now, an 06 NC 2.0 MX5 is ULEZ compliant. Even an older NB is.
Alternatively, if you have a budget, how about the newest best ND you can find?
