Hi all, the standard number plate looks huge & having bought the car I can't afford SC 1 to make it smaller, so what have you all done - Downsized? Relocated?
Pictures of alternatives to the standard would be great, plus an indication of likely plod interest (although of course I will have forgotten to replace my track plates if pressed!).
Thanks in advance.

I had a 3/4 front plate from fancyplates.com, Dan has no plate at all IIRC!

No attention from the police, apart from what you'd expect with race numbers

I hope this soothes your eyes and stops the burning pain that happens if you look at the picture above mine!!

I also go the plate done at fancyplates. You can specify the exact size you want and the font, boarder colour etc. They are really good.

(and the size of mine is legal too )

I got the same done at the back.

I just ran the car without one.

Works awfully well against lasers

Have a look at the picki on my profile, front and back are the same, 60mm letters.

Just ask for show plates, not number plates, lots of car bits shops do them.

I think Alex has his stuck-on plate just above the splitter. Don't think he had any issues.

I have indeed, I used run without one, but got pulled twice,so put on the sticky one, as phil said is just above the splitter, no problems since.

Thanks for the replies guys, I have a friendly vinyl master m8 so will get some made up, probably favouring the horizontal surface above the splitter.

looking at it Greg...you could have it even smaller quite legally too if you wanted to...you only need to ensure the minimum distances between the letters and from the letters to the edges...given your shortage of letters/numbers you can definitely have a narrower plate!

Yes, I guess your right. I didn't actually know it was legal when I ordered the plate.

It seems to look bigger in the photos.

Not sure if it would look odd if it was really narrow??
