Priming Fuel Filter - 1.5 dci
Discussion
If it is indeed a low pressure fuel pump, cycle the ignition half a dozen time, so the electric pump runs for its full duration. You'll hear it run from the drivers seat.
If it doesn't have an electric pump, don't attempt to start the car, and apply vacuum to the outflow of the fuel filter. Once you have fuel there, reconnect a bit sharpish, and crank - should start and run reasonably easily. If you do have the vacuum pump version, once you have it running, leave it idling for at least 2 minutes before switching off.
