Found this superb bit of film from 1963.
Guessing George was a stalwart of the Institute of Advanced Motorists.

Shocked @ the number of Rolls Royce that were on Britain’s roads back then !

This run was recreated a couple of years ago.

Interesting - I hadn't seen the 2018 version.

Long story, but I had seen the 1963 version, and drove the route as a 'recreation' in 2013. Every moment of the drive is captured on video. Even got a master copy of the original on DVD rather than the lower quality Youtube version.
Had it in my mind to edit and merge the two versions - but not got around to it yet.... Yes, I know that was eight years ago.

The Mk2 I planned to drive it in is still not finished - mostly in boxes in the garage. Had to do the recreation in a modern Jag.
