Budget Shocks And Springs

Hi Guys
We have recently had some interesting results on spring testing on an S series and are now looking at the Chim/Griff set-up.
I am giving Steve Guglielmi (some old tuscan race hack) a load of springs and some budget shocks and a brief to sort out daily driver, fast road and fast road/trackday settings and I wondered if any of you were interested in the results?

Still awaiting funds to do mine, just had loads of work done so it will be a couple of weeks before i get round to ordering the GAZ ones we talked about recenly...

When you say budget, how much (or little)of a budget are you talking about as your GAZ costs are quite low anyway....

And if you need a test platform, well i'd be happy to oblige

I am using Gaz and I have a Griff as a testbed but for anybody looking for fitting, I'm now building a network of guys who fit shocks in the way I believe they should be set up.
I shouldn't use the forums to beat my drum but there are a lot of people out there throwing shocks on TVR's(including Nitrons) who don't have a clue and I think that the guys who do a good job like Steve Gulielmi,Warren at Topcats, Jools, Paul at Austec, should be praised.
They all Geo-set, corner weight and set up the car to suit the driver and now I'm sharing baseline spring settings on even the new Tiv's we will all have better handling cars.

I would be interested to know how you got on. I have gaz shocks on the front and avos on the rear, but the avos need replacing. Any info on the fast road set up would be good!

Ok, I'm not expecting any massive surprises but he has ordered a number of springs including some that are lighter than I expected.
He has set up some trackday cars for people, so I don't reckon it will take long as he allready has a baseline.

like where to set the spring platform heights and the number of clicks - Nitrons and any other ones you may have - can you mail?

If you are running Nitrons you will know that, power and requirement (track/road etc) will be a massive factor in your set up.
I'm dealing with the fast road end of the market on budget shocks but if you mail me,I will put you in touch with somebody close to you who will be able to give you a bump/rebound set-up and spring rate to suit your monster.

Bugsy, what he said, this is pretty much the next job that i want to do to my car. I have decided not to buy the rebuild that Bell Hill are offering - worries about ability to resell in future. So the money I might have spent changing is now available for necessary work.

I would be extremely grateful for your advice/guidance/product suggestions - there, I have asked you so you are not soliciting!
