New Cayman additional OTR costs

I was wondering if some regular new Porsche buyers can clear something up for me.

I have a Cayman GT4 on order and after agreeing my final spec I noticed on the order form an additional 1960gbp for OTR costs.

I have purchased new BMW's, Audis and VW's in the past and these OTR costs ( first year tax and reg etc.) were always included in the advertised price and car configurator price.

Is it normal for Porsche to add these costs on top of the configurator list price? It means the true cost of a Cayman GT4 is 79k before any extras.

any confirmation or advice would be great.

I ordered a Macan and found the same. It probably helps the residuals look better!

I had the same surprise recently. I'm pretty sure OTR costs were previously included on the configurator but they're not now.

I got caught out on this as well when specking a 718 GTS. It is quite a hard extra £2k to swallow. I soon got over it, but still yet to order. Managed to get 1% off so not all bad.

Yes they're very sneaky and their configurator doesn't include the OTR costs...... ridiculous really!

Their offers are on the website somewhere but very very well hidden.

I have searched long and hard a few weeks ago and couldn’t see any visible offers. I would love to get a £2k discount circular 2.5%. Perhaps I am not trying hard enough!
