High spec cars - when do values fall off a cliff?
Discussion
Afternoon all,
I have a conundrum concerning my ageing Panamera Turbo S - it's a 64 plate with 66k miles. It's really highly specced and in good condition with FPSH, 20 months Porsche warranty remaining. I have just been contacted by an OPC who have offered me £35k for it, which feels like a pretty good price and means the depreciation in my 4 years of ownership has been quite moderate.
My question is, at what age / mileage do these cars, with expensive (albeit highly durable) consumables like PCCB become borderline unsellable? The market for Panameras is not the deepest and I am wondering whether I should get out now while the going is good rather than potentially being stuck with a 75k+ mile car that no one wants. There are a few similar ones (not as well specced as mine) languishing on Autotrader with lower mileages at c. £45k - they've been there for several months...not a good sign.
Any thoughts appreciated!

I’m definitely no expert but I thought 3-6 years was generally the sweet spot for minimising depreciation.
I think it probably helps if the dealer would look to re-sell rather than punt off to the trade.
I’d imagine re-sale cars would be up to 5-7 years depending on the brand and model
