just bought a 66 plate cayennr platinum e-hybrid.
How do I check what on board charger mine came with? 3.6 or 7.2kw
The supplied porsche charger came with a 240v 13a single phase connector and a 400v 32a 3 phase connector but no 240v 32a single phase connector. can I just run a 32a feed to a 3 phase commando socket and only connect L1, neutral and earth to get faster charging?
can I extend the type 2 cable, mine is too short. It just looks like 3x2.5mm superflex.

The quickest and best way to check the max rate is to plug it into a charger using the type 2 cable and see what you get. Given the battery size 3 kW charging is perfectly adequate so I wouldn't worry, you are not really going to stand over it while it charges.
The 3-phase connector is almost certainly wired as a single 220 V phase between the neutral and one phase not as a 415/380 V across phases. IF you are suitably competent you could take apart that 415v connector and see how it is connected, my money would be on it only having a single phase wired up. You could then put a 32A or 16A commando plug on it instead. This would be a safer solution than using the 13A plug even if it only draws the same current.
Type 2 extensions are frowned upon but they are available off the shelf. Just be aware that there is a risk of overheating associated with each connection.
