The Dark side of the moon concert.
Was anyone from here there?
I was a 17 year old lad going with 3 pals.
What a fantastic weekend! We were reasonably local so we walked the 12 miles or so there and back.
A life changing event? I'm not sure. But I've never forgotten it.
The evening atmosphere was unforgettable.
Floyd went on to play Echo's also.

Ive posted this as I was searching for some Floyd stuff and a 1975 Knebworth memories site popped up and wants people's accounts of the festival.

The line up for the concert was, from memory.

Pink Floyd.
Captain Beefheart.
Roy Harper
Linda Lewis.

More that that I think.

Anyways it's just a ramble,if anyone shows any interest I will try and dig out the website for giving first hand accounts of the festival.

I was there. It was a good day, but not a patch on the previous year, when the Allman Brothers topped the bill.

As a side note, the James Guthrie Stereo and 5.1 mixes of Animals is finally to be released.

According to Roger the release has been complete for a couple of years but a disagreement between Roger and David over the sleeve notes has delayed the release. David wouldn't agree to the release unless the sleeve notes were removed. Roger has agreed to the removal.

So Roger has posted the sleeve notes on his website.

There is also stuff about David/Samson claiming more involvement in things when Roger was still in the band.

He is currently writing his memoirs, so could be interesting.
