I know there is a forum thread somewhere on the guys from Southampton but cannot find it. A chap I know is pushing something and I am sure he will lose his money on it, do these tend to fall apart once people start to try and withdraw their money or do they just disappear in to the night?

The chap I am talking about is a nice guy and he seems to be talking to a lot of people about it, will need to gently warn him but I know it will be met with friction as he won’t want to believe it.

Tell him to put all his savings into it and then only tell other people in 6 months time when he is a billionaire. You'll never hear from him again and you'll have saved other people from being duped by his naivety.

The purpose of these services is to collect cash from fools and share that cash between the bookmaker and the introducer.

Whatever your friend pays in and whatever he gets others to pay in will simply be split between the signal vendor and the broker. Everything else going on is unregulated, marketing waffle to get mugs to wire them as much money as possible.

It is a sad situation.

Why do they even bother with a bookmaker etc…might as well just bank the money and run or do they need some deniability where the money was actually invested somewhere?

Taking the money and running away would be illegal. Taking the money under the terms of a signed contract to provide unregulated trading services from offshore which so sorry have moved against you this month we've had to close your positions that's so unusual perhaps you should buy this dip and get back in you can't make money if you're not gonna get involved what's that the counterparty who traded against you ? why yes they do have an office in the same building as us why do you ask ? is set up to be pretty much untouchable.

Hmm, makes sense.

I know of one couple who maxed out credit cards and put all of her pension in and some parents saving (the pension cash passed through her bank account…how dodgy?) and lost over £250k….not a bean recovered.

I looked the first woman up on Facebook. If you're a bit gullible you'd fall for it - and she has hundreds of followers.

It's just a gambling business. It's the affiliate in the middle who does all the overt lying and deception.

But the real issue is that no one cares at all about any of this. They just want to get rich from doing no work like all the rich people they see on social media have done. They will throw their money at absolutely anything that claims to offer them this regardless of just how moronic it sounds.

You can probably tell your mate until you're bin the face that he will lose all his money but the simple nature of these people is that they know far more than you. You are stupid because you don't understand how the new economy works. And even once they've lost all their money they won't accept that they've been rinsed and scammed by the old world economy and that all this guff about how it's different this days is the schpeel of the classic snake oil vendor. smile

I am of the same opinion as you. He is someone that I have helped out a bit and I don’t think I know him well enough to get all that involved as I know it will fall on deaf ears. It is sad that someone is getting rich on the misery of many.

I'm a bit late, but I've only just found this topic.
Genuine Forex trading is a gamble, but there are loads of scammers out there with fake cloned websites who simply steal your money.
One targeted me last year via an on-line game chat, which cost him his fake website. Number 2 is currently making the same mistake, even though I now play using the name John - No scams. I'm using bogus email addresses of course.
I doubt they have any real victms. Neither could organise a piss-up at No 10.
