I had these fitted about 3.5 years ago and they’re dated 2017. I’ve done about 25,000 miles on them. Both fronts are cracked like this on the inside and outside of the tread blocks. They’ve got about 4mm of tread in the centres. The walls are crack free.
I know I’ve probably had my money’s worth out of them but throwing away tyres with 4mm of tread left seems a bit wasteful if the cracks are just superficial.
Anyway, would you replace them or not?

Technically yes, but I suspect there are worse driving around for longer.

If you want to cope adequately with aquaplaning in heavy rain, you need 3mm, so then you only have 1mm left.

They should be changed. Cracked and worn out on the edge.

I’d expect to be changing tyres by 25,000 miles. Just change them.

Yeah, I’m on it. I’ll go see my tyre guy this week.
