It's a shame too because Messrs. Plato, Sutcliffe and indeed the ex-rally Penny female are adept in many ways that could deliver a more absorbing show.
As Jase the Ace demonstrated, nonchalantly powering the Tamora single handedly, he can certainly drive a la Tiff.
The producers are to blame; the disjointed style frustrates and provides less meaningful analysis than a 4 year old with some sticklebricks being asked to dissect the works of Tolstoy.
And why in the name of Shostocovitz's lesser known reproductive gland do they insist on that moronic 'car sumo' drivel?
A shocking, shocking waste. Then again, I loathe with equal intensity the parts of Clarkson's vids where he comes over all cheapskate and shows some totally nauseating Yugo death by mousetrap device or palms the unsuspecting punter off with 10 minutes of ancient Pug 205 Gti advertising or some braindead sh1te sequence of crashes from the Yunga Punka Turdoid Aussie Series 3 Ultimate Crashes for the RoboWars generation.

You know, thinking about it, the best car reviewer, IMHO, was Quentin, before he came over all Anne Robinson. So compelling was his review of the 928 as a bargain 2nd hand super car that I was inspired to do exactly what he recommended; rush out and get one cheap, the next day!

most eloquently put De, I was underwhelmed by the show as well, it was curiously put together and seemed to change subject just as you got to an interesting part. I know it's been said before but wtf do these presenters insist on voting for prestige and status, of course the boxsters a fantastic car, it's built by Porsche ffs, a company that has been perfecting the sports car for decades and with a budget that could satisfy NASA. So why do they always miss the point and compare it with a cheaply made fibreglass sportscar built in Blackpool by a company that struggles to make ends meet. I think it is frankly amazing that this comparison is still made and a tribute to TVR that it keeps happening.

I think that's exactly it. It shows just how far TVR has come. To produce a range of cars and engines that can compare with and better (IMHO) the best from the likes of Porsche is an amazing acheivement that is often forgotten on these boards.
It's just a shame that the programme failed to deliver (as always) on what could have been a very informative and comparative road /track test of the two cars.

PS. My girlfriend who isn't really that bothered by cars even found herself shouting at the TV during Drivel.
It seems a shame that the producer of the show was determined to try and make the Boxster the winner, along with all of the "automated presenters" who were equally biased.
