''Kraft Heinz says it will invest $199m (£140m) in a UK food manufacturing facility over the next four years.''

''Heinz sauces were last made in the UK in 1999.''

Seems great investment coming in Northern England at this time.

Who actually buys salad cream? I think I last had some when I was a kid in the 80's.

From what I remember of the taste I've nothing against salad cream, I just couldn't recall when I last saw it and wasn't sure it was still a thing.

Agreed. Love it with chips, and on salad smile

I don't get the snobbery vs Mayo. Both are nice but are different things.

Good, although I wonder where the tomatoes will come from.

It will only be a success if they change back to the old ketchup recipe

I wasn't aware they had changed it. I thought there was just an option now to have sugar free, or something free.

Wait, what? People get their red sauce from a bottle rather than making their own? Next you'll be suggesting that mayo comes from a jar rather than requiring a sore wrist from all the whisking.

Definately changed even on the std model - sugar dropped and vinegar ramped up, it's awful. I've changed to Stokes

It's fair to say you become accustomed to what you're used to. My parents never bought Heinz as they preferred Daddies. I used to hate that Heinz was the standard offering in most chip shops as I loved the vinegary cheap goodness of Daddies (still do for the brown sauce). I agree and can tell that the recipe changed at some point as I don't buy the stuff and only get exposed to it when it's from someone else's bottle.

On topic, it's a saucy story but not a validation of brexit.

Well I'll be.. I never knew and more surprisingly never noticed. Maybe because I do have a habit of shovelling my food down like I haven't eaten in a week.
