Bought one ... Loved it for a while .. then realised I looked a right prat with this dinner plate sized abomination on my wrist,
Wouldn't mind a square cased 1000 feet but most of the oversized round cased watches now do nothing for me,
Unbelievably I moved it on for a small loss ......... really should have been a large loss as not sure of their true VFM .. tread carefully

I bought a U-Boat-type large watch from Werners back in the day when they were popular here on PH. From memory I think it was 55mm. I wore it a few times, pretty much nobody "got" it and of course I got the "kitchen clock" comments. TBH I only wore it a few times, I still have it somewhere but I'm glad I didn't jump straight into the cost of a U-Boat.
A few years ago I bought a B&R BR01-92, which is also pretty big (46mm) but not U-Boat size. I'm 6'3 with fairly chunky hands and wrists. I hadn't worn the B&R for quite a while and if I'm honest, having worn it recently, I think it's probably erring towards the "too big" category now as well. Probably the fact that it's 46mm square, not round, so you have the extra corners making it look bigger than it is.

To be honest ... It wasn't the physical size that did for it's sale,
It was the fact the movement was tiny in relation to the dial - chrono sub dials were so squished into the centre of the dial,
Once seen it bugged me ...!
Some are smaller (mine was I think 53mm & i'm a runner so thin wrists) but as said earlier the crown guard makes the watch bigger.
I wasn't overly impressed with the VFM,... some being better than others in the range,
I'd steer you towards the 45mm ones if you have to get one

To be fair that would bug me.It was the fact the movement was tiny in relation to the dial - chrono sub dials were so squished into the centre of the dial,

Will after just keep looking for a watch that's not the norm.
Don't want to go the usual route of Rolex tag bretling etc.

Made from U Boot steel so there’s your subaqueous connection.
