Air-conditioning, pressure test

Hiya.
My cars air-con stopped working a month or so ago. I have a Peugeot 306 Gti-6.
Not sure if it's just dried up or if something is damaged, so am looking for a place that will do a pressure test on the system, as well as re-gas and put dye in it if all goes well.
Can anyone recommend a good place in the Leeds area that can do the above?

Just a thought. Is the aircond compressor clicking on at all?? If it isn't it could be the low pressure switch cutting off the system to protect the compressor. It is a shame to get the system vacuumed down and refilled for you to then find a leak, pay for it to be fixed then pay for the vac and refill again!
Have you checked around the hoses and the condensor for signs of oil (assuming you haven't got a UV dye in the system already). I had a stone through my condensor on my 306...nightmare bill to get it fixed. You could see oil from the AC system around the hole. I think on the 306 though the most common problem is leaks on the hoses from the compressor though.
Also if you do have to get an aircon system component changed, remember to get the receiver/drier replaced at the same time.

I am a Hella air con agnet and a very common problem on 306s is rusting of one of the air con pipes.....it is situated under the radiator at the front of the car, it is exposed to all road muck and rots........they were on 6 month back order with Peugeot last year, not sure what the situation is now.

It seemed to stop working over a few weeks. Obviously eventually the pressure switch must have gone, as the air-con pump doesn't engage (can see it visually, and also the secondary rad fan doesn't engage either as it would if the air-con was on).

I had a leak for a while around the time I was using my air-con when I got the car.
After a while I decided to replace the radiator as that too was looking past it, and I guessed the leaky residue was from the coolant. The bottom of the rad at the leak side was al greeny, but not properly leaking.
When replacing my radiator, the air-con radiator is kinda pegged onto the water radiator which I didn't know (bloody stupid Pug design), and so it was pulled at while wondering why the damn radiator wouldn't move forward.
I fear a weak or corroded a bit pipe may have creased and/or failed while doing my radiator, or maybe I have damaged the condenser radiator!?
Either way, there are too many pipes and hoses to check out.
I'd prefer the system to just be pressure tested and/or filled and dye'd, then I can find the faults (if any) that way.

Either way, I can do the repairs myself if there is any damage, then just take it back.
Had a good look at the front bottom hose under the radiator, but it seems "ok".
Maybe it's just run out. A friend has a W reg Meridian and that just went over a few months quite recently. Five years is a long time, considering Pug "recommend" replacing it every two years!

Is it better to just bring it to you, let you gas it and put dye in, then see where it leaks if at all. Then at least if there is a leak I can get right onto it!
