I am going to take my laptop abroad with me to spain, I have a phone line out there, but how do i access the internet while i'm out there, do i register with a dial up isp here and then dial back to the uk or?

IIRC it depends on your ISP, some have got agreements with local ISPs in other countries, so you can get a local dial up number.

I'd contact their customer services as first go.

Let me no how you get on vixpy as i have a similar question over Italian ISP's.

Either check with your current isp to see if they provide roaming or setup a global roaming account with one of the roaming providers or just sign up with a local isp when you get there.

depends on whether you are going and staying for a while or will be dodging from country to country.

cost wise it will probably be cheapest to most expensive

1)local isp
2)roaming account on current isp
3)roaming account with roaming provider.

aol or compuserve offer worldwide access points.

They both offer free one month trails
