Don't undertake using the hard shoulder...
Discussion
And especially don't undertake a police car when you have half a million pounds worth of cocaine in your car.

Drug dealers were caught with cocaine with a street value of £500,000 after undertaking a police patrol car as they sped along a motorway hard shoulder.
The two dealers used the hard shoulder to avoid queuing on the M6 near junction seven in the West Midlands.
But they sped past a patrol car and then drove away at 100mph when police asked them to stop.
Simon Pagett, 39, and Dean Stone, 40, both from Walsall, later admitted possessing drugs with intent to supply.
Pagett, from Dartford Road, also admitted dangerous driving and was jailed for seven years.
Stone, from Burgh Way, was jailed for six years.

So the guy that did the driving got an extra year for the road / traffic offence part?
I know we hear a lot of people moaning that jail sentences are too soft these days - but I watched this yesterday and thought:
If I just did the driving offence part (exactly replicate what he did.. without the drugs) - I'd expect far worse than just 1 year (okay nobody got injured but that was pretty high speed / off road / total lack of concern for endangering lives)!
Also - I think we can classify that as: 'A s
t ton of drugs!'
Very light sentencing indeed.

If nothing else I don't get why drug dealers on their way to a deal don't drive so as to not attract any attention to themselves...
Some Drug dealers choose to drug deal as they are lazy and don't want a proper job. So it is expected they will try to cut corners in all other areas of their lives.Iwantafusca said:
Shirley drug dealers should be pottering along in a immaculate Honda jazz with a daily mail on the dashboard?!
They often use taxis or hire cars for work duties. Otherwise the police will have their number plate on anpr all over the place, and also the car will have marker for occasional stop and search.WonkeyDonkey said:
In an i8 as well... Not the smartest of drug dealers out there.
You'd have thought the idea was to keep a low profile, drive something mundane that blends in and drive like everyone else.
Guess BMW's do attract a certain kind..

I’ve seen plenty like this who are then utterly gobsmacked that they end up getting pinched.
They’ll be straight back on the graft as soon as they get out, making the same stupid mistakes, then wonder why they’re back inside 12 months later.

Off Topic - when I was collecting and delivering cars with my truck, one car dealer had me take a nasty old Corsa to an address on a housing association estate for an anytime delivery - I just had to call to say I was coming. I called and when I arrived two lads came out to meet me. The car had been bought for cash and the paperwork, as far as I was concerned, was all done. Piece of cake. A couple of weeks went by and I was asked to go and collect it, euphemistically 'broken down', from the side of the road. The car dealer had bought it back, damaged, for buttons. When I asked about it, the lads were drug dealers, who chose nondescript cars specially to not stand out - good idea - but drove, untaxed and uninsured, like complete arses - bad idea. You'd have thought the idea was to keep a low profile, drive something mundane that blends in and drive like everyone else.

They would get caught, do their time or pay their fine and then approach him for another car.
It's a different world that exists in parallel to ours.
There was a guy on Joe Rogan a couple of years ago who by all accounts did drug running across the states. He'd have a bit of a convoy going including spotter cars, decoy vehicle, a perfectly presented humdrum mule and rear guard, was quite interesting, slightly more pro than these muppets.
