Pretty much the same as last year. I enjoyed the fill in races at unfamiliar tracks.

Shame not to get Singapore.

How on earth are the Olympics still going ahead! Madness.

Oh well no trip to Singapore this year. Had a feeling this would happen as nothing had been announced - not even the music line-up (RH Chilli Peppers were fab last time!)

On the brink of collapse?! Leaves Hamilton sweating?!

...I've never read the Daily Mail - but that sounds very similar to the over exaggerated / BS I've heard mention of.

Not really much of a surprise to see Singapore go, it makes no sense for them to run the event without tens of thousands of incoming visitors, they need to start spending the money on infrastructure pretty soon, so easier to wave it off now.

Shame, always love watching the cars at night, and was a brilliant event to attend a few years back.

A second race in the US would be a good replacement, Austin again, or maybe Indy?

Because Japan has spent billions on the event, and they want to see some return, and don’t want to ps off a lot of sponsors who’ll have clever clauses to get their money back.
When hosting a GP, only millions are spent !

The only reason it’s still referred to as Tokyo2020 is because of all the merchandising already produced.

Yep, I understand why, just don't understand how!

I think that by season end we'll have seen a fair few circuits used as double headers...

I bet my neighbours are pissed.

They had a cruise booked that included the Singapore Grand Prix.

I wonder if that entitles them to cancel the whole thing? Although I suspect they’ll just go anyway.

The only reason the Olympics are still going ahead, is that no-one wants to lose face as the guy who makes the call to cancel them. At some point, the decision will make itself.

So odds on for an Austin double header. That would mean RB lose Singapore, a track they're well suited to in exchange for Austin which they're not well suited to. Unlike Mercedes...

Might not sound like a big deal but the car designers are certainly influenced by the planned calendar each season. Probably really pissed them off the last couple of seasons where half of it gets changed.

Turkey is back on in place of Singapore, for now.
