Hi all

I've been looking for a 335/435d xdrive and have been offered a BMW franchise approved used 435d for £17k. The car is a 2014 approx 55k miles. Prices seem really strong on these and it seems a good deal for an approved used car but I wanted to check before pulling the trigger. I'd hoped for a 2016/2015 - should the age of the car matter?

Cheers

In a word, yes. The pre LCi ( which I think is MY16) diesels are not ULEZ compliant as far as I know.

So it would depend on where you live as quite a few cities now have ULEZ zones.

335d xdrives took a bit of a dip on used prices last year, but seemed to have picked up strongly (thankfully!). You definitely should ensure it is EU6 compliant.

Fairly sure the 335d pre facelift is ilex compliant but worth checking using the London site (don’t trust the dealer!).

I'm up in the north so not too concerned about ULEZ compliance, although my wife's car is so we have an alternative to use if the 2014 is an issue. I guess my question is really to do with age of the car relative to price. Is the car worth the asking price given that it's 7 years old?

Bought a 16 plate 435d xdrive with a very high spec (hud and surround cameras) and 39000 from a BMW dealer a month ago.
Advertised at £19400, got it to £18800 and four new tyres in the end.
It didn’t take much effort to get the price down (no px)
