I've seen reported on other forums that some farm insurance covers the removal of a vehicle blocking access using a forklift.https://m.facebook.com/story.php?story_fbid=102267...

Not sure how legit dumping it on the highway would be...

Not sure complete decimation = removal. Not sure how legit dumping it on the highway would be...
Police may also be fairly interested in the near impalement of topless uncouth driver.

No it absolutely doesn’t, they view it as negligence, there’s such a thing as a tow truck company, you might have an argument for livestock in distress but only if you take appropriate careNot sure how legit dumping it on the highway would be...
Although the farmer was completely in the wrong, I find it hard not to chuckle at the bloke giving it the big "come on then" just before his car gets pushed around, and then compounding it by kicking it? The driver looks like exactly the sort of person who I imagine does not give a crap about the farmer being able to do his job.
That all said, the farmer is going to get in trouble, particularly as he nearly took out the guy with it.

I'd guess the driver of the forklift isn't going to come out of this very well regardless of the circumstances that led to the destruction of the car and the deliberate swipe with the forks of the forklift on the Guy who was possibly the owner of the car.

Notice the cows in the field, I wonder how the law considers farmer unable to tend/look after a field full of animals on a hot day vs damage of a car ?
"I was concerned for the welfare of my livestock so took decisive action to remove a perceived threat to them from their vicinity" is one thing, "As the red mist descended, I created a hazard on a public highway and bloody nearly impaled a chav on the fork of my hi-lift" is another and likely to get rather less sympathetic treatment from the boys in blue.I'd suggest that farmer Giles is in quite a bit of trouble
Farmer near me had a less destructive approach to someone who used to regularly park several yards into his field to take dogs for a walk across private land (no footpath, either).
He started by leaving notes on that car that it was illegally parked and that they were trespassing - didn't work. So he just irrigated that entire field, with an 'accidental' leak in that gateway, to the point it turned to foot deep mud.. Driver got his car out, but ripped the rear bumper off along the way.
Same farmer had problems with hare coursers on his land. They were disturbed by the police and fled, leaving a Legacy estate (no current keeper registered, of course) abandoned in a field. He ploughed round it, making it impossible to move. Was still there 3 months later, at which point it somehow got torched and disposed of.

Farmer has my every sympathy.
As I am 100% sure that it was not a one off, and he is no doubt sick to death of people parking there, and the person in this video was the final straw.
And when farmer turned up with said forklift, they could have given it ;ok, sorry, understood' and driven off. But no, they got their phones out, began antagonising the farmer (no doubt excited by how many likes they were going to get on facebook and snapchat) and kept up the aggression.
The farmer took it too far, and will pay a price for that. However I completely understand why. In just that short video I can already ascertain that the driver(s) are cretins.

I agree with the farmer.
I had a lowered curb on a previous property and somebody parked in front of it blocking me in, just begs the question why ???
That said i am not man enough to actually do it.
I have sympathy with the farmer but who do you think should pay for the damage to the car?I had a lowered curb on a previous property and somebody parked in front of it blocking me in, just begs the question why ???
