We have a mill shop (oop north of course) in an area of rising infection.

We have a clear sign on the door which says "No mask, no admission, no exceptions".
We only allow 12 customers in at any one time. We log them in and out. We're responsible people, we clean daily,

We get the occasional flat earther, who doesn't feel the need to wear a mask and argues loudly to be allowed in without a mask.
"You're breaking the law by discriminating against me on health grounds because I'm exempt, (I don't have to tell you why or prove that I'm exempt)
and so on and on and on and on and on

And by the way here's another badly written ill informed social media review.

And so on and so on, depressing and irritating.

Anyone have the one line killer reply to these fkwits

It's the OP's shop, surely he can decide who he wants to let in? (and deal with the consequences)

I'd put money on the fact that all the people arguing against having to wear a mask have no genuine medical reason (unless you count being able to start an argument in an empty room a disability)

Have you actually read that? It's pretty vague as to what the pay-out was for, but it didn't go to court.

Perhaps you get what you deserve by calling people deniers and flat earthers? Did you call people names at school?

Good for you, if I saw a review from one of these luddites saying they had been refused service because they refused to wear a mask I would be more likely to use said establishment.

I would not bother replying to any reviews you just give them oxygen

Vague?

"A disabled woman assisted by Kester Disability Rights has been paid £7,000 in compensation by a service provider who refused her access to a service because she was unable to wear a face mask.

The pay-out was achieved through negotiation as there was no dispute that access had been denied, or that the Claimant had a disability exemption. The only thing to be agreed was the amount of compensation, not whether it was due or not."

Really vague that one.....

Just to clarify whether it actually did 'go to court' or not...

Was it a court-mandated mediation, or simply something arranged between the 2 parties to avoid going to court?

It was also 'suggested' in the FT (I think) that the rights of the individual (disabled or not) to not wear a mask or get vaccinated may be in conflict with the legal requirement of the employer to maintain a safe workplace.

Now that's going to cause some court cases I think smile

Sadly the dheads are on here and infect other threads.

You are doing the right thing, keep at it.

Happy to leave you a few positive reviews to help balance out the wkers if that helps - send me a message if you like and will sort.

You must sell some seriously good stuff for people to want to be bothered getting logged in and out of a shop.

Your shop your rules but be prepared to face the consequences, a few bad social media reviews are small beer to someone going legal on you for disability discrimination.

+1.

But hey, anyone saying such is a dhead or a wker on PH.....

(some would suggest openly offering fake reviews is the view of a wker)

Of course I've read it.

Court or not, it cost that service provider 7 grand.

As said above, your definition of vague is, well, vague because it was quite specific what the payout was for.

If I were not so busy at work, I would be out looking for idiot businesses like the OP and start claiming myself. Just three successful claims would max out my ISA for this year, and then some.

Why not just change the sign to say entry only on production of proof of two vaccine jabs, if Wembley can insist on it so so can you

The law says that you can be exempt and it’s not reasonable to have a discussion about your health status at the door of a shop.

The bad reviews are justified IMO. I have left a few myself on businesses which are too militant and continue to support those which are pragmatic.
