Sending parts from Germany for resto work (not a purchase)

I have a new customer in Germany wants to send me some automotive parts for restoration. When complete I will then send them back to him.

It's proving a clusterfk for him to organise a courier, with them all asking for invoices etc. He isn't selling anything nor am I buying anything WTF?

But he's paying you for the work? So there will be an invoice, no?

He just needs to find a courier who understands the rules.

Many won't be arsed as it will considered too much hassle, but there will be some who want to offer the service.

Eventually yes, but can't say what it will be until its all finished.

How big is the item?

There's absolutely no need for invoices to ship anything - all the courier will be wanting that for is to make it easier for them to determine the goods classifications.

Worst case, knock up a proforma invoice for zero value for 'restoration works to x'.
