My 997 911 hung around for a year but a number of reasons pushed me to move it on. I've gone back to my youth and gone for a 2010 Mk2.5 Focus ST-3.
Friends have owned a number over the years and I'm glad to have one now. It came with a thick history of invoices, the usual RS Clutch and fairly recently replaced driveshafts. It's running about 265bhp, with a big dump of torque (over 400Nm) from 3000rpm upwards.
I've fitted a new stereo (Android based) and a new intercooler since I picked it up, along with all LED bulbs. Few more things planned!

Have been looking into them recently as a possible 'fun' car and to replace the wife's racing Jazz

She had this shape Focus before (albeit a dirty oil burner); but they're great for room inside & I know I can fit!
A mate bought one of these a long long time ago, and kept it a long time, I always liked it. Had that little 'something' that all the other 4 banger hatches dont, was extremely reliable and very comfortable (great seats!).
They are also quite soft and approachable in their handling, a bit of roll, supple suspension - this makes them really good to drive on proper twisting, winding roads and poor surfaces. Great cars. I've thought a few times about a later model 5 door like that one.

Lovely car that and a bit rarer being the 5 door. The 5 pot is such a good engine and what a noise. I owned one of these a couple of years ago, such fun cars. Mine was running circa 310bhp and was absolutely rapid. At the time I couldn’t quite stretch to an RS as it was a third vehicle so having that power was the next best thing. I do miss mine.

I love these...I had a brand new ST3 in sea grey back in 2007, loved it (wish i could have afforded the fully loaded electric orange one they had in the showroom though), didnt keep it long enough as job change meant a diesel was soon required.
I am at the point now where a return to my youth as well is needed!
Enjoy, looks good in red too.😎
