Where to get best value on smart phone

[A993LAD]

Following the earlier tips on where to buy a laptop I'm seeking some advice on whee to look for a smartphone replacement.

I currently have an S10 supplied by work. When I leave in a few weeks they'll take it back so I need areplacement.

tbh I was happy enough with my old S8 so could go back to one of those.

Have always had Samsung models but open to other brands.

Also happy with used if it's in good nick with a decent battery.

Any suggestions on where to get one gratefully received.

Isn't that the S10 that broke earlier today when you dropped it?

More seriously, the best value is going to be Current Phone - One iteration on eBay, refurbished or NOS. Occasionally the likes of mobilephonesdirect have the previous line heavily discounted to the point where you're paying only a few quid a month for the phone on a two year contract.

If your ok with used , cex are pretty good .

Mobilephonesdirect have the S20FE at £27 a month now over two years. Compared with sim-only at about £15 a month, that seems pretty decent value to me for new. Especially if you'd rather not lay out a chunk of change up front.

You could probably pay less for an S8 or S10, well you definitely can, but whether that's better value?

For value i'd go for a pixel rather than a samsung purely because they'll get more updates .

Thanks

I should have mentioned we already have a family contract with EE and I can keep my current work number so I just need a handset I think and then transfer the number across

I use Moto G phones, usually purchase direct from Motorola
https://www.motorola.co.uk/
Some good offers on Moto G9 power for £160 and Moto G 5G plus for £250.
A bit more budget than an S10 though!
