Remember always replace brake or suspension components as axle sets. So a new set of discs and a pair of refurbished calipers are on the cards.

Sorry

Damn i recently sold a PAIR of recon calipers on ebay for £35 to a locost builder. Would have preferred a jago owner but no-one interested
But seen a link on locost builders site and an advert somewhere for recon calipers at £40 each (IIRC).
Just can't find it again.....am looking now
Apparantly (drseg or techsec to confirm) they are same as cortina???

yep m16 caliper i think theyre called cortinas capris and most escorts
really is safer to replace discs in pairs
most car spares companys who stock apec brahe parts will be able to supply new discs from their "classics" catalogue
calipers can be professionally refurbished through most car spares shops on an exchange basis trade price of about 40 plus vat per caliper so will probably be 50 ish retail plus 40 excess for the old caliper
have you tried freeing the caliper off?
it can be done successfully
ascertain which piston seized
could be both
remove oads one at a time and replace with an object to prevent piston coming all the way out
press brake till free
will usually work
move pison in and out to free off if you can get dust covers off you can clean crud off piston
this is usually a short term solution though
and they usually seize again within a year
seems there may be a second hand pair going another possibility
