Whenever I've been camping, I always seem to be up and about a good hour or so before the rest of the campsite.

This is fine, as it generally means I get a nice, pristine shower to use, and the croissants in the camp shop will still be warm but I couldn't help wondering whether I'm abnormal in terms of when I wake up, or when I get up!

So, after a few days of not having to set an alarm, what's natural wake up time for you? Does it vary much from summer to winter? And do you stay in bed if you don't have to get up, or do you find that you have to get up once you're awake?

I get up when I no longer trust the next fart. The time displayed on the clock is irrelevant.

I work shifts so can be all over the place but if I book nights off for a few weeks I get back into a early cycle. Love early Sunday mornings when everyone's in bed and the sun is out.

Working in hospitality. I often dont get to bed until 3am so I sleep until 10-11 most days. Even on my days off Im not sleepy until after midnight. I seem to naturally have a burst of energy at midmight as thats when you need it to get everything tidied up.

Usually between 8-9 for me as I usually go to bed too late during holidays.

I work shifts so if I'm on evening shifts I'll wake around 9am on the Saturday, then if I've been on mornings I'll wake around 7am.

I have blackout curtains at home, I find that camping I tend to wake around 7am as the tent usually turns into an oven any time after that!

The bloody birds start chirping around 3:30-4am for an hour. Then they stop.

Anything past 6 I class as a lay in. No alarm, the dog needs to go out.

No idea anymore, the cat decides 4:30 is when I need to wake up.

I'm an early bird but I live in the woods!
When the first blackbird farts I'm awake.
Wouldn't have it any other way.
"Do the day or the day will do you" is my motto.
There is no greater feeling than the idea that only you are awake and about whilst all others are akip. The world is yours.

Work alarm goes off at 5:45 but at weekends I tend to wake around 7-7:30 even after I’ve had skin full and gone to bed late. Wife on the other hand can stay in bed forever 😂

Regardless of what time I go to bed I normally sleep for 8 hours (assuming not set an alarm) give or take.

Same for me. Velux windows without blinds in our bedroom.

I consider it a sign I've gotten older, more mature and wiser. It's the only sign, but I'll claim it!

Too early. The last few months I haven't been getting anywhere near enough sleep. I often wake between 6 and 7.

My bladder wakes me about 5am. If I get up and have a piss I often can't get back to sleep. Currently I can usually ignore it and fall back asleep until about 6am when I definitely have to get up for a piss.
The day will soon come when I hold it, but then wake later to discover I haven't actually held it.

I naturally wake up around 5am during the week (alarm is set for 5.30am so irritating that I wake up earlier everyday). At the weekend it's around 8am.

Interestingly when I was on furlough last year I wasn't setting an alarm and woke up around 8:30-9am every day so guess that's my natural time if work wasn't an issue.

It's linked to when you went to sleep, which you haven't mentioned.
