Hi looking for help to fix my issue I'm having with the above BM.

I've read the code in relation to the abs using the creator 310 scan tool, 04 wheel speed sensor signal implausible rear left. I've tracked the wiring from the sensor upto the body and found someone had badly crimped the wiring where it passes into the rear area of the boot and I've re solder it using the same gauge wire. The 3 abs lights are on but do go away and return with a few seconds, also the speedo doesn't move either.

The abs module was recently rebuild and reprogrammed.
I swapped the rear abs sensor and confirmed them working by tracking the live data
The wheel bearing on that side has also been replaced
The fuses have also been checked too

I'm at a bit of a loss with this issue and any help would be appreciated

If not already; join here: https://forum.bmw5.co.uk/forum/64-e39-1996-2004/

Massive wealth of info re the E39

Secondly; did you code the new refurbed ABS unit to the car & do you know anyone with INPA local to you that can read the codes deeper and look at the live data.

To me, it sounds like there's still a wiring issue; but could be wrong.

Yes, you want to read out the error codes with INPA. With INPA you can read real time sensor values as you drive.

Thank you for the replies, I did try and join the e39 forum but kept getting an error when creating an account and I posted my issue on bimmerforums.co.uk but got no replies there.

I've got INPA so I plugged that in today, got the same code as before and I looked at the live data and all the sensors are registering speeds apart from the rear left. I also had a look around any other modules to see if they had faults not one, apart from the auto box did but it was related to the speed sensor, so I guess its its throwing a code because it isnt getting the road speed.
