How to get apps to work in desktop browser
Discussion
Anyone design apps for a living here? I have found out that there is some extra functionality available in an app from the Play Store that isn't available on the desktop client. I thought that I could manipulate it by using the element inspector on Chrome and selecting the mobile device icon to emulate the phone app, but it doesn't work there either, it only works via their Play Store app which visually looks exactly the same. I don't know anything about apps, but I assume they must have an underlying web address to connect to the site which, again, I'm assuming must be different to the desktop address in order for this extra functionality to be available? Is there any way to find out what that address is and use it via desktop? The app is Flightradar24 .
You could try installing Bluestacks on your pc, which is basically an Android emulator, then install the app from the playstore within that.
I've not used it for many years, not sure what the performance is like these days but it wasn't brilliant back then.
