Old man has borrowed the Chim, got to a set of lights and it does.
Car has power, clock, lights etc, immobiliser will disarm, but there is no ignition.
It's being recovered back to house, any ideas where to look? I've done some reading, is there a fuse on the chassis under the driver's side? If so where? Another post has lead me to this, and someone else said the 80amp fuse by the battery, is this in the fuse box or separate?

100amp fuse under OS engine mount is charge circuit only so not your issue.
80amp fuse near fusebox and powers everything on the car (exceptions) so as most of your electrics are working this not your issue.

Test from ignition coil positive terminal to a good earth (rocker cover etc) with ignition on and immobiliser unset.

Do you hear the fuel pump prime for a few seconds when you switch on and unset immobiliser?

Report back.

Cheers Steve, right double checked as I am miles away at the moment.
Immobiliser flashes and disarms when you use the touch key.
Clock works.
Nothing else, no fuel pump, no dash lights, no ignition lights.

Right I'm with the car now, and I'm lost.
Headlights and sides work.
Immobiliser disarms
Nothing after that, no ignition.

I am in the passenger footwell, the battery has some sort of home made cover on it and wiring has all been moved, fuse box now in dashboard and I can't find the 80amp fuse

First be very sure the battery is well charged. Easy to go chasing faults only to find the battery did not have enough grunt.

With so much out it sounds like the ignition load relay. I have seen these with corroded terminals. Relay 5 top row of relays second from right. Pull it out and check the terminals. Clean if required then insert/remove severeal times to help clean the female contacts.

Thanks for your help Steve, ran through everything including the relay all works fine, found the culprit, end fuse had been crushed up against the dashboard and cracked, just about to test it but so far so good, ignition now works

Last fuse - Fuse 21 supplies the ignition switch. Not important at all I can't understand what your problem was.

I had no no ignition at all.
Immobiliser fob Push in
Put key in
Get to ignition and nothing, no pump, no dash lights, no radio, no windows, no crank.
Culprit being this fuse, which has been repeatedly crushed into the dashboard, it explains a lot as well, no more high idle, it's quicker and more responsive and everything works first time, well apart from the window switches

If fuse 21 was faulty then the ECU, ignition amp etc. would not be getting 12 volts.

It seems quite logical that it would cause the problems seen.

Check fusebox terminals, heat may well have damaged them

Steve, I should have realised as you probably have the most detailed knowledge of Chimera's and Griffith's of any posters on here.
