That's the only reason he's pipsqueaking away again. He's desperate for the ermine lifestyle (parading proudly, showing off his massive intellect/vocab etc) and the Tories won't give it to him, so he's hoping that a spot of champagne socialist virtue signalling will grease the wheels. Sadly, with Marshmallow Starmer equally desperate to raise his party's public profile it's entirely possible that Bercow's plan will work.
