Need to leave my bike in St Albans for a couple of hours (daytime) . Anyone local know how safe the bike parking in Market sq is?

If you mean right next to the clock tower, I've parked there a few times. Not for a while, but there's normally a few other bikes there.

Also plenty of people around, so I wouldn't worry too much.
