Hi,

I'm doing my sums and steering towards doing a move to sim only with me buying the phone offline.

Samsung are doing 120 quid cash back on a S21 and I can get 150-180 for my current S10 which means 300 of the price off immediately.

Samsung also do an upgrade program option, is anyone doing this?

SIM only? On and off. As you note, just simple sums.

Upgrade plan? No. I don't upgrade often enough to make it even remotely worthwhile. I try and get a good 3-4yrs out of a phone. They're just like computers these days - little to no reason from a power/functionality point of view why they need upgrading regularly. They're expensive. And constant chop and change is bad for the environment (no tree hugger, but pointless waste has always been a "bad thing" for all but the companies that pump this stuff out).

I think you are right on renewals, my S10 is fine, except it doesn't have 5g, 5g won't be in my neck of the woods for long time.

I might cancel EE and go with a SIM only.
